Penfield RepublicansTown Board![]() Marcia SugumelePenfield Town Councilwoman Marcia M. Rocco married Dennis Sugumele on January 28, and is now Marcia M. Sugumele. Marcia was appointed to the Town Board on January 7, 2004, and was elected by the community in November 2005. Marcia is the Town Board liasion for Public Works activities in town. She also chairs the town’s Transportation Committee, and serves as liaison to the Concord and Windsor Square Homeowners’ Associations, the Allens Creek/Corbett’s Glen Preservation Group, the Friends of ASKWA Sanctuary, PVEA, and Penfield’s Fire Districts. Marcia was a volunteer with the Penfield Volunteer Emergency Ambulance (PVEA) for many years. She raised two children, Tom and Jessica, in the Penfield Central School District and now resides in northern Penfield with her family. Marcia served for 7 years on Penfield’s Planning Board, and is presently employed by Monroe County. Her background in government includes extensive experience working for Senator Jim Alesi, and as Regional Director of the NYS Consumer Protection Board. Marcia has a Master’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, OH. Marcia’s many volunteer activities include Camp Good Days and Special Times, Literacy Volunteers, the Penfield Symphony Orchestra and Rotary. Her devotion to our Penfield community is documented in her past service to local Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cobbles Home School Association, the Friends of the Penfield Public Library, and the Care and Share Program.
