Penfield RepublicansMonroe County Legislator - 9th District![]() Robert "Tony" LaFountainTony LaFountain represents the 9th Legislative District on the Monroe County Legislator, which includes the Town of Penfield. Tony serves as the Chairman of the Human Services Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Environment and Public Works Committee. Tony has a strong background in both public and community service. Prior to being appointed to the County Legislature in January of 2004, he served residents of the Town of Penfield as a Town Board Member for 18 years, Deputy Supervisor for four years, Public Works Chair for ten years and Community Services Chair for eight years. He also served as a liaison to Penfield senior citizens as well as several groups including the Daytons Corner School, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Watershed Management. Tony is also a member of the Penfield Lions Club. In addition to his legislative duties, Tony is a member of the Monroe County Board of Health and is a member of the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors. Tony currently works for the Eastman Kodak Company as the Director of Security and Fire & Emergency Services. On a day-to-day basis, he deals with questions of security and employee safety. This valuable professional experience allows Tony to understand and contribute to County efforts to protect public safety and coordinate emergency services in times of crisis. Tony earned his Degree in Construction and Civil Technology from Canton College. Tony and his wife Lyn, parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church, have two daughters, Jennifer and Stacey.
