Penfield Republican Committee

Dedicated to good, local government for Penfield

Penfield Town Supervisor

Marie Cinti

Marie Cinti was elected Town Supervisor on Nov 2, 2021, and took office on Jan 1, 2022. She has most recently served as a Zoning Board of Appeals Member, President of the Penfield Business Chamber, and President of the Rotary Club of Penfield.

Marie works to develop partnerships and alliances with various organizations across town government, schools, businesses, and community organizations with the goal of building a strong community.

While President of the Penfield Business Chamber (PBC), she was responsible for the growth and visibility of the PBC, leading board members to increase the number of events, marketing opportunities, and membership benefits. She also advocated for small businesses at the state and federal levels and formed strategic partnerships with neighboring chambers. Marie also oversaw the creation of #onepenfield and #looklocalfirst initiatives to support the local business community.

As a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, she considered requests from residents and property owners for zoning variances and special permits as outlined in the Town ordinances. Her responsibilities included making site visits as appropriate, listening to concerns of those submitting requests as well as concerned citizens, and having a good understanding of the Town code and effects of granting a variance.

While a member of the Penfield Board of Education, Marie's work focused on policy, financial stewardship, and legislative concerns. She served as co-chair for the Monroe County School Boards Association Legislative Committee to develop and pursue legislative priorities and met frequently with state legislators and Regents both at home and in Albany.

Marie was a school counselor for seven years and later worked at the international non-profit Water for South Sudan. In her spare time, she enjoys beekeeping, organic gardening at the Penfield Community Garden, writing, geocaching, and travel. She has lived in Penfield with her husband and two children since 2000.
