Amy Steklof
Town Clerk
Amy Steklof has been serving as Penfield Town Clerk since her appointment in April 2009. She was subsequently elected to four-year terms in November 2009, 2013, 2017, and 2021.
Amy holds several professional accreditations and memberships, including Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC), Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), Notary Public, and Marriage Officer. She is a member of the New York State Town Clerk Association (NYSTCA) and has held leadership positions in the Monroe County Town Clerk Tax Receiver & Collector’s Association (MCTCTR&CA) as Treasurer, Vice President, and President. Additionally, Amy is involved with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), serving as Vice President, and is a graduate of the Cornell Municipal Clerks Institute (CMCI) Class of 2011-2014. She is also affiliated with the National Association of Professional Women and the New York Association of Local Government Record Officers (NYALGRO).
A lifelong Penfield resident, Amy graduated from Penfield High School and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Hartford. She has been married to her husband, Kevin, since 1984. They have three children—Michael, Jason, and Jessica—and a miniature poodle named Lyla. Amy is actively involved in her community, volunteering with the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf and the Shepherd Home in Penfield.
