Paul Dondorfer
Monroe County Legislator
Paul Dondorfer has been a dedicated member of the Monroe County Legislature since his election in November 2019, representing the 9th Legislative District, which includes most of Penfield. In addition to his role as a legislator, Paul serves on the Public Safety Committee and is the Assistant Minority Leader.
Raised in Monroe County, Paul has always been committed to his community. He studied fire protection technology at Monroe Community College before briefly moving to New York City to work as a police officer. In 2004, Paul returned to Monroe County to join the Rochester Police Department, where he handled emergency calls, served arrest and drug warrants, and addressed street-level drug sales and quality-of-life issues. His field experience led to his promotion to Police Investigator in 2018, where he prepares criminal cases for presentation to grand juries and trials.
Beyond his law enforcement career, Paul has been involved with the Irondequoit Volunteer Ambulance as Deputy Director and served as the chapter manager for the Badge of Honor Association, which supports the families of fallen police officers. With over 19 years of law enforcement experience, Paul brings valuable leadership and community engagement to his role in serving Penfield.
Paul lives in Penfield with his wife, Bobbi Jo, and their son, Antonio.
